Welcome to Altier. By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

Altier is an AI-powered virtual try-on platform that allows users to visualize how clothing would look on them using artificial intelligence. The service uses Google Gemini AI to generate try-on images based on user-uploaded photos.

2. Account Registration

• You may use Altier as a guest (anonymous account created automatically) or register with an email and password.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.
• You agree to provide accurate information when registering.

3. Free Tier & Credits

• New users receive 5 free try-on credits (lifetime — they do not reset).
• Free-tier results include a subtle watermark and standard quality processing.
• Once free credits are exhausted, you may purchase a subscription or credit pack to continue using the service.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

• Weekly Plan: $6.99/week with a 3-day free trial. Unlimited HD try-ons, no watermark, expert style scoring.
• Yearly Plan: $49.99/year. Same premium features as the weekly plan.
• Credit Packs: One-time purchases of 10, 25, or 50 credits at discounted rates. No subscription required.
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Refund Policy

• Subscriptions: If you cancel within the free trial period, you will not be charged. After the trial, subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period, but you retain access until it ends.
• Credit Packs: Credit pack purchases are non-refundable once credits have been used. If no credits have been used, contact us within 48 hours for a full refund.
• If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using purchased credits, contact us and we will either resolve the issue or issue a refund.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload images of other people without their consent
• Upload illegal, harmful, or explicit content
• Use the service to create misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse-engineer the AI, or abuse the API
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated images without permission

7. Intellectual Property

• Your Content: You retain ownership of photos you upload. By uploading, you grant Altier a limited license to process them for the purpose of generating try-on results.
• Generated Images: Try-on results generated by the AI are provided for your personal use. You may share them on social media with attribution appreciated but not required.
• Our Content: The Altier name, logo, design, and software are our intellectual property and may not be copied or used without permission.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Altier uses artificial intelligence to generate virtual try-on images. These are simulations, not photographs. Results may not perfectly represent how a garment will look in real life. Factors like fabric texture, exact color, and real-world fit may differ. Style scores are AI-generated opinions and should be taken as suggestions, not definitive assessments.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep Altier available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

Altier is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
